I have been a full time Agent/ Realtor since 2005. I have been doing BPOs and REOs for several companies, since 2006. I stayed away from short sale because of my REO and BPO work load. My goal is to become a broker by May 2011. I retired from the City of Salinas Parks Dept. after 17 years. Prior to that I retired from the Army after serving 20 Years plus. One of my greatest accoplishments was claiming a patent for a hand tool I designed and brought to market sucessfully.

There is empathy and there is charity.  I for one think that a seller that has not been paying the mortgage should be willing to pay his share when a short sale is done.  The seller on the average has 6 months or more before having to move out.  In the  mean time no rent/mortgage is paid.  The only person with the biggest benefit  from a short sale is the seller.

The buyer is not getting a great deal  s/he is  paying what homes in an  area sell for wheather Regular Sale, REO or short…


A license to do short sales

     Okay why is a license needed every time there is a change to the normal way of conducting business.  I have been in real estate 6 years but have over 60 years of common sense, and knowing that  having a piece of paper does not make a person an expert, sometimes not even mediocre. 3rd party negotiator

I am tired of hearing 3rd party negotiators making comments, like a real estate agent should not do their own negotitions until they have some under their belt.  Well my question to them is HOW MANY did they have before their first deal ?   I feel that all beginnings start with a first.
