Silly Wells Fargo! $100 Seller Contribution to close??

Wells Fargo just demanded that to "help offset investor losses" on a short sale the seller MUST contribute a whopping $100 to close!!  This is just pointless and absurd.  Anyone ever had them request a small amount like this just to close?  Why would they bother with such a small amount?
