First, the marriage of peanut butter and this?????

To know me is to know that I LOVE peanut butter...I love it on a spoon by itself, on bread, with jelly, without jelly, with bananas, etc...I think you get the picture.

When someone felt it prudent to mix peanut butter with chocolate.....OH MY!!!! I was in absolute peanut buttery heaven!!!!

Now that you know how I feel about the peanut butter and chocolate.......

Recently...Bank of America announced that it was now processing it's FHA short sales through Equator!!!

Gone are the days of

*Endless faxes that apparently dump into a black hole never to be retrieved again

*Unanswered phone calls that seemingly fall into a telephonic abysss

*Having to repeatedly update docs that have expired because it's been 8 months and the file still hasn't even been assigned

Alas.....I've found that warm fuzzy feeling that I've only been able to receive from peanut butter and chocolate...Bank of American PFS Short Sales and Equator....I've found a new love!

I can understand your frustration, Joe, but I'm a little bit more of an optimist. For instance, yes, you may not be able to submit an offer until the ATP has been executed by the Seller and reviewed (and accepted by the Negotiator), but that's really no different than the doggone offer sitting on someone's desk for 30-45 days while waiting on the same thin! Lol! Now, I'm not saying that this is going to be the BOA PFS "Manna from Heaven"....I'm just saying that it's a whole heck of a lot better than their previous system.

Thanks, Ben...I kinda expected that since we normally have to start over with any other dynamic change with short sale processing (i.e. Servicer changes, portfolio sale, etc.)

Uh, stick with peanut butter and chocolate. Yes, they will still be asking for bank statements over and over for months. Look at WF and Equator. I cannot submit an offer (been calling and sending messages for a week now) because they have not completed the task of examining the ATP to see that the seller signed it..??? At least w/BofA now, I can email the offer to the negotiator or fax it in. With Equator, it won't let you submit the offer - as just a current example of Equator "helpfulness".

Have you noticed a zillion messages from Equator when the negotiator touches something? Think of what the negotiator gets - probably 10 to 100 times more useless trash. Their awareness of real messages from the agent goes down because of all the Equator noise. You are looking at FHA negotiators who a year ago could not get an escalation message unless you had not heard from them for 20 business days. Now they are going to be swamped with Equator messages and that is going to make communications with them better?

I always liked the technical abilities of REOTRANS --> Equator, despite some of its weak support from both Equator people and BofA form creators (Really, help for "other lien" is not something like is it BofA or other bank but answer in dollars and cents - I cannot get BofA to change this or "what is the commission percentage" answer in dollars and cents..??)

But then to paraphrase the NRA, Equator doesn't kill SS deals, people do.... ;-)

A HUGE heads up on this:

We had it from lower level persons that ALL FHA short sales that are IN PROCESS will be required to START COMPLETELY OVER and go through Equator.

I have not yet been able to confirm this with higher ups, but that is what the word is in the lower ranks at B of A.....plan accordingly.
