Do you have any experience in Commercial Real Estate? If so, do you have the CCIM or any commercial designations? How many commercial transactions and dollar volume have you CLOSED?
About Me/Profile of yourself: - Please add your Brokerage Company name also!
I received my Real Estate Salesperson license in 1985, and went to work in early 1986. At that time, I was a single mother of two; real estate offered me the opportunity to make as much money as I could, and still spend valuable time with my small children. I learned that with proper focus and productivity, I could accomplish far more in a small amount of time and make a comfortable living for myself and my family than I could at a traditional job. I attended seminar after seminar, and purchased books and audiotapes (and later CD's) about time management, goal setting, negotiating skills, etc, and the like.
In 1990, I moved to the Antelope Valley, which is the northernmost part of the County of Los Angeles. I was asked to open and manage an office for the real estate firm I worked for, and within a short period of time we had 50+ agents and became the number two office in the Antelope Valley. Shortly after that, the economy began to crash and we experienced a large amount of foreclosures and short sales in our market. I chose that period of time to obtain my Real Estate Broker's license, and further my real estate career by earning the National Association of REALTOR'S (N.A.R.) designation of GRI (Graduate of REALTOR'S Institute).
Since that time I have gone on to earn the following N.A.R. designations: CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource), and e-PRO (E-Professional). I have also attained the designation of CHS (Certified HAFA Specialist) and the esteemed CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert).
In my local Association of REALTORS, I served on the Board of Directors for seven years; in 1998, I was voted "REALTOR of The Year" by my peers. I continue to serve on several committees in the Association of REALTORS, and have been a member of Kiwanis International, along with other community groups. I helped to establish a Battered Women's Shelter in the area, and am an advocate against Domestic Violence.
My oldest son, Christopher, is currently serving in the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant. I now have three boys, one girl, and two stepsons.
I enjoy several hobbies including, but not limited to, classical piano, horseback riding, ballet, tap dance, books, education, mentoring, hiking, camping, music, sewing, cooking, baking, live action role playing...and so much more.
But one of the things I enjoy the most is helping to enrich other peoples quality of life...and helping distressed homeowners to reduce their stress so they can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep is, by far, one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. In 2007, when the economy began to show signs of failing, I decided to focus on learning everything I could about helping distressed homeowners through the short sale process. I began listing short sales and spending lots of time on the telephone, quizzing banks about their requirements and their formulas so that I could properly negotiate successful closings. I began closing my short sales in 2008, and have done nothing else since that time. To date, I have had a success rate of approximately 97%, and really enjoy the challenges that short sales have to offer.
I represent Centennial Realty in the Antelope Valley, and look forward to meeting you!
