"Abraham, I am sure your firm is top notch, but FYI, Illinois laws specifically prohibits the seller signing any type of deed or mortgage in a short sale. We have an extremely aggressive AG, so it is not wise to try that tactic here.  "

After graduating from Iowa State University, then attending the Harvard Business School, I managed a family grain company for a 9 years. Following that, I become a full member of the Chicago Board of Trade and served the hedging (risk management) needs of large grain firms for 15 years. After the deregulation of the CBOT I started and operated my own investment advisory firm for the next 16 years. As a hobby I raced cars and instructed other drivers for 26 years (holding the track record for my class at Road Atlanta when I was 52).
Frankly, real estate is new to me (3 years), but HAFA has become my hobby and I have successfully negotiated several cases from start to finish.
My wife is a Mortgage Loan officer with US Bank (Naperville, IL) and I am associated with Baird & Warner at the Barrington, IL office. In my 'retirement' I enjoy new challenges and pride myself a go-to computer person. As I've become more involved with short sales I have subscribed to the "Short Sale Commander" software package to keep all parties apprised of my progress with the several short sale cases I now have in process.
My wife and I are very active in our local church and several other civic organizations.
Thank you for the opportunity to relate to others who are dedicated to saving distressed homeowners from the negatives of foreclosure.
