Email just came out that Wachovia will NO LONGER postpone  foreclosure dates for any reason.

 

If there is an ACTIVE foreclosure funds must be received no later than 5 DAYS prior to sale date.

 

Full short sale package must be received 10 BUSINESS days prior to Sale date

 

  EX:  If foreclosure sale date slated for Aug 30  a short sale approval will be given with an expiration of Aug 25!

 

 

This came out this afternoon......

 

Do I sense a definite change in attitudes here..?

Yeah, things were too easy for us, they wanted to make us work for our money...
Just had my Wachovia Fast Track listing foreclosed on. My attorney friend says this is ex post facto and not at all kosher. If anyone else has this happen please contact me at kcbs2@yahoo.com There may be a class action suit in this...they have changed the rules in the middle of the game!...Henry Weiss

Here is the email I received about this on August 6th from our local Wachovia Short Sale Division Rep.:

**IF THERE IS A FORECLOSURE SALE DATE SET - WE WILL NO LONGER POSTPONE THAT DATE FOR ANY REASON - if there is an active foreclosure Sale Date we MUST RECEIVE funds no later than 5 DAYS before that Sale Date, also if there is a SALE DATE set we must receive the full package 10 business DAYS prior to that sale date (and again, we will not postpone that date)**

FOR EXAMPLE:
If you are SUBMITTING A SHORT SALE PACKAGE on a property that has a SALE DATE SET FOR AUGUST 30th, the SHORT SALE APPROVAL WILL BE ISSUED with an expiration date of AUGUST 25th and we will NOT EXTEND the Short Sale approval or SALE DATE:.
