Do sShort sale brokers or Expeditors work succesfully in areas other than where located?

Such as nationwide. for example Joseph Alfe worked succesfully in states other than Il?

Absolutely.  You need to have a good local agent involved but a 3rd party negotiatior working with a good local agent is a great team to have.
I suspect that using somebody who is "nationwide" who also does not have somebody local could create certain problems, as the rules and laws can easily differ in each state.  They need to be aware of all local requirements.  As long as they are, then should not be a problem.
