I have a shortsale and just received a very good offer, I have tried to start working with GMAC for mths and have sent my authorization in 6 times with the husbands death certificate.  The wife is still alive and the home was purchased (FLA) with Joint Tenancy. 


They keep denying me authorization because they say they need a court order.  THEY do NOT need a court order its not in probate and there is no estate and it was a joint tenancy.  So I need someone about the intake level that I can speak with can anyone help me with a name and number ?

Is this file in Equator? I've had similar issues with Joint Tenancy and spousal death...one bank wanted me to have the dead spouse sign the contract!

I hope you told them that you would have him dug up and see if he still wants to sign, he may want to come back in another life and live there and not sell it after all.  GEEZ I just dont get these banks ....  Anyway..  GMAC is not in equator so you have to fax it, but I just got a contact name and number and email here it is for your future use.
