Thank you Angela and Kevin,

things have only become more complicated.

I was able to contact Citimortgage and, more amazing, got a CALL back.  I was informed that Citi was the owner but the servicer was Penny Mac Servicing.  I went to Penny's website, looked for the house but it isn't REO yet (I new that).  Meanwhile, by looking at the county records, I was able to find out the attorney representing the owner of the house.  I called and, again, I was surprised when they gave me information.  The owner had filed for bankruptcy and given back the house to Citi (Penny Mac)  I could not find a record for the bankruptcy nor the transfer or certificate of sale in the name of the bank (still showing under the owner's name)  So, the house sits empty, decaying; and the lender doesn't even have a clue that they own this asset. It's sickening.

Miguel,  You would also need the current Owner(s) and/or Mortgagor(s) cooperation.

Miguel, if a foreclosure was filed, but never completed (meaning the house didn't go to auction), you could still attempt a short sale.

New Citi Short Sale Approval this week...and buyer walked. Interesting timeline on this one and we're working to find new buyer. Thought I would share Roundhill, VA Citi Short Sale Approved.

Thanks, Jennifer

Hello all.  I know of a property that has been in foreclosure since 4/28/08 (when Lis was filed by Citimortgage)  The property was scheduled for auction on 7/16/09, but was cancelled (I think it was because the attorney for Citi was David Stern, Mr. robosigner) The property is vacant, under the original owner's name, basically in limbo.  Does anybody have any suggestions?  I have a buyer for the house, but I guess it's too late for a short sale?  Thanks,  Miguel

Hello. I have requested an extension for closing on a Short Sale with Citimortgage - both loans are with them and I was told that Citi is the investor. I'm waiting to hear back from the negotiator. We are not able to close on the approval date because of loan closing timeline. Does anyone have any higher up contacts just in case?? I tried the Executive Response Unit and she said she can do NOTHING. Appreciate any info. Thanks.

Hi Sara, this might come too late but, yes, I have been charged a $75 per diem fee for each day after closing. However, I got the negotiator to remove it when I asked for an extension.

Hi all. Has anyone had Citi charge per diem on an extension for closing on a short sale? Thanks.
