I am working with a small servicer on a FHA file that is making pull my hair out. I finally contacted the FHA Resource Center 877-622-8525. I had to get their authorization signed by the borrowers. Then a case number was assigned to a HUD specialist and that person has been helping get the file done. HUD does not want property right now so the specialist has been intervening with the more ridiculous requests.
You might also try the whistle blower email at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau website. I have another client that filed a complaint about SunTrust and within days, SunTrust called saying they were working on the file. I don't know if they can do anything about FHA but it is listed on the website.
You can try these contacts at SunTrust. I would also recommend calling FHA's National Servicing Center - you will need to get the FHA Case # from Suntrust CS Dept first and email them an authorization form prior to calling. They will assign you a ticket # and work the file from their end as well. Good Luck!

I am sorry to hear that. FHA short sales around the board are becoming more difficult to process. Many times HUD wants a homeowner to have attempted a loan modification prior to a short sale review if their hardship doesn't meet a certain criteria. We work a large volume of files and deal with SunTrust on a daily basis and have amassed some contacts over the years. How far along are your transactions in the pre foreclosure sale process?
