Need Help!!!! I have a shortsale into Fannie Mae with Suntrust as the Servicer; everything was good with fannie they were being responsive until my owner was told she had to doo a mediation. Everything stoped with fannie. I have a contract on the home. Suntrust sent requests to the owner I responded with everything they requested even my Authorization and they will not respond to me. I need a contact at a HIGH level to get a response.
Anyone have any names and numbers.
So suntrust is stating that the homeowner has to do a mediation? In mediation do you mean a loan modification? I apologize your short sale is currently on hold and hope it is resolved shortly. Typically we would reach out to our contacts to escalate for resolution or to get clarification.
Brett: I do my own shortsales and have been very successful with them but this by far is the most fustrating, I cannot get suntrust to even call me back do you have a escalation contact name and number at Suntrust?
Karen, Mediation is not required or offered in FL any longer as far as I know. If they meant loan mod, all you have to do is have the seller contact the bank and tell them that they are not interested in loan modification (if that is the case) or they can opt in and try loan mod since many people are getting great deals nowadays. I often encourage my sellers to try that first but many won't and they appreciate my advice. Once they opt out, you can communicate that and have SunTrust continue the process. Suntrust usually won't escalate it until so much time is passed with process.
I agree with the other agent (Jacqueline) that said to have the owners call and tell them they are not interested. I had a similar experience with a deal that was FHA with Chase.
