I am doing one right now with E Trade as the second. Any advice would be appreciated. Any advice at all.

But I have a transaction in which E*trade is the second.

Ernie's Post is outdated now, Jim Oberleitner is now in business loans, no longer doing Short Sales, he asked that I post this info. I will re-post the new info. Since I am beginning a New Short Sale with E-Trade on first. I hope this helps.

one thing I have found with non mortgage lenders who got into the lending business when things were good is that they have very little knowledge of how loss mitigation works, and unrealistic expectations.  Insurance companies, stock brokers, and other entities are a world of pain when it comes to short sales.  So much so, that I no longer even consider taking files from ING Direct, Met Life, Aon, and others.  E-Trade is probably no different.

I've done trnx with Met Life / First Horizon and obviously the one above with e*Trade.  Met Life was easy, and at the time, the e*Trade one was handled by PNC.
