Did you ever do a short sale with E-Trade.

If so what was your experience. This lady??? (one person) never answers her phone and I sent her a package 2x . I sent her an e-mail asking for receipt confirmation, because she never answers the phone, nor does she return phone calls.

Do you believe that she responded to my e-mail by saying that she does not respond to e-mails & I must call her.

So I called & left 4 messages after 1 week she finally called and said she is just too busy and she did not get the fax, I confirmed fax # with her and sent package again...
This should be a great experience with them.

Did they give you an amount that they will accept on the 2nd.. I am curious as mine is a 2nd also.

It seem that they assign files alphabetically by the borrowers last name.

She finally admitted she had the 1st pkg
Initial request much earlier was for 25% of unpaid balance for note and lien release. We couldn't settle at that time as we were still in negotiation with the first.

We have offered $9000 at this much later moment, under changed circumstances - sellers have vacated and relocated, buyer has pre-settlement occupancy. Seller income is now 37% of prior level.

That offer was welcomed and has been submitted. That's about 12% of the balance of $76,000. It is $3000 from the first lienholder, PNC, and $6000 cash at settlement from sellers.

That cash offer is based on what they can actually afford to pay, not a percentage formula. They saved the rent paid by the buyers since August.

The seller is a USCG Commander who retired after 20 years service. It was a voluntary retirement, but he had been passed over, and would have had to relocate had he stayed in service.
thanks for the information...it is good to know what I can expect from them
