I've done MANY EMC Short Sales without any problems...all have closed within 60 days (some even 30). I have one right now that has been a bit of a bear. EMC has had the file since May 6th. Received a phone call from the negotiator yesterday...wants to put the seller in the HAFA program. Seller says No as it will take another month or so to find out if he truly does qualify. He sent EMC an 'Opt Out' Letter. Negotiator said that if he received the letter yesterday then he would have the approval letter to me by last night. I got him the letter but I did not receive the approval. I sent him an email but he said that he transferred the file to a negotiator that does not do HAFA and that she will submit the file for approval. He wasn't sure about the response time. I've called and emailed every contact I had but have gotten nowhere.  Any help with higher up contact information would be appreciated or comments of course!
